Are You Ready for The Challenge? Ethics and Values of Community-Based Arts Work. Every community-based arts project will face ethical challenges as people confront conflicting ideas about fairness, representation, freedom of expression, confidentiality, appropriation, and other key questions. In this two-part session, Chief Policy Wonk Arlene Goldbard will introduce participants to tools and frameworks for spotting, welcoming, negotiating, and engaging ethical challenges; then the group will choose one or two cases to work on together, practicing the framework and using the tools.
